Cultural and Service Capital

At St Barnabas' we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience, explore and understand the world around them. Cultural capital is the knowledge, skills, experiences and opportunities that children gain through their education and everyday lives.

We aim to enrich our pupils’ learning by providing a wide range of experiences, including visits to museums and places of interest, engaging with the arts, exploring different cultures and traditions, meeting people from different backgrounds, and participating in extra-curricular activities.

Through these opportunities, we broaden children’s horizons, develop their curiosity and confidence, and help them build the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. We are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has access to enriching experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning.

We offer a broad, balanced, diverse and engaging curriculum developed specifically with our children in mind to meet their needs and foster their intellectual curiosity. Enrichment opportunities and rich experiences ensure our pupils have the cultural capital needed to become world citizens.
